  • February 9, 2000. I have been away for a few months, but am happy to say I should be updating this site a little more frequently now. The latest news from the Dio camp is the (final) release date for the new Dio album, Magica,is scheduled for March 21st, 2000. • June 13, 1999.
Karlshamn 6/12/99 The most recent show for Ronnie and the band was played at an Open Air arena in Dinxperlo, Holland. Lucky for me I have great friends overseas that would love to share their story. Without further ado, I give you the first review of that show, presented by Jacob.....
First I mention the songs he played (as far as I remember).
  • Intro (as in Inferno)
  • Evilution
  • Straight throught the heart
  • Don't talk to strangers
  • I speed at night (!)
  • Holy Diver
  • Rock 'n Roll Children
  • Sacred Heart
  • Starstruck (!)
  • The King of Rock'n Roll
  • Drum solo
  • Heaven and Hell
  • The Last in Line
  • Rainbow in the Dark
  • Guitar solo
  • Neon Knights (!)
  • The Mob Rules
  • Long live Rock'n Roll
  • The Man on the Silver Mountain

  • Karlshamn 6/12/99 Ronnie was in his finest form and he so much enjoyed it. I must say Craig was a bit like, you know, just standing on his spot and not very enthousiastic. He played well though.
Simon Wright made a mistake in Rock 'n Roll Children. Not many people will have noticed that, but I saw Ronnie looking very mad at him. Some idiot in the audience threw things on the stage. Ronnie warned him, saying: If you do that one more time , you fuck, I swear you gonna regret it. Big applause from the audience of course, great! Karlshamn 6/12/99

Karlshamn 6/12/99 And then the big thing. I was in the front row, I gave my jacket to a guy of security, you know those who watch the audience, asking him to put it on the stage. Ronnie picked it up and signed it! YES!! Then he threw it back and put up his thumb to me. I will never forget this. After that many people did the same and Ronnie signed at least 30 shirts and jackets while singing Neon Knights. Great person he is!

Well that was about it. After DIO, Motorhead came. So time to leave for me, what a bunch of shit that is, hahaha.

  • May 20, 1999. I have just received word about the next planned Online Live Chat with Ronnie. The tentative date is currently June 5th, 1999. This will take place at the Dio Official Website. Although only fan club members may participate, all may attend and watch the action.

  • May 14, 1999. Another renovation to the Ronnie James Dio Official Web site, this time adding a Guest Book. It will be cool to see what the other fans have to say about this line up and the upcoming album!

  • May 13, 1999. Major renovations to the existing Ronnie James Dio site have begun, including Photos from their trip to Russia taken March 1999, as well as a newsarticle as posted from a Russian newspaper

  • May 1, 1999. The official word from Niji, is that Ronnie and the rest of the band, Dio, are preparing to record their next album. For now, the working title is "Magica", very appropriate in my humble opinion! It will be produced by Ronnie himself, and has a projected release date of October 1999.

  • May 1, 1999. The new lineup for the band has also been released by the fine folks at Niji. The tour band as announced May 1999 will be:
